Theo Chocolate Impact, Origin, & Experience
As a company rooted in ethical and organic sourcing, Theo Chocolate’s sourcing practices and origin impact have always been key communication points for the brand. Though this is woven throughout brand messaging, certain touchpoints invite a deeper dive—sparking the creation of a distinct visual language to bring this narrative to life.

Factory Experience
When Theo Chocolate refreshed their Seattle Factory Experience, Design worked closely with the Experiences team from the beginning of the process. We developed an overall creative vision resulting in interactive displays, murals, and installations to enhance the new Experience content.
Project Deliverables: signage, interactive displays, wallpaper, murals, book illustrations & layout
What I did: Overall creative direction; graphic design and illustration for some applications including repeating wallpaper design, mural elements, kids’ story book illustrations
Kids’ Story Time
The Experiences team also developed a program for younger visitors, using a “story time” format featuring a custom children’s story that explains cocoa production in an age-appropriate manner. Design brought the story to life through storybook-style illustrations; I provided overall art direction, and produced many of the final illustrations (including all shown here).
Impact Report
I designed the brand’s annual impact report for several years, distilling data around cocoa pricing, production safety and environmental metrics, and more into concise and easy-to-understand infographics. In addition to KPIs and pricing information, the multi-page impact reports also offered opportunities for storytelling around impact at origin, local community projects, or sustainability initiatives the brand undertook that year. I also designed social and email assets as part of the report’s release each year.
Project Deliverables: print and digital impact reports, infographics, assets for social and email
What I did: layout design, infographic design, illustration

Style Guidelines & Spot Illustrations
A specific set of illustrations (often centered around cocoa pods, trees, and leaves) and colorways are typically used when talking about origin and impact, to give the topic a cohesive look across applications.
